Stichting Fair Produce NL is run by LTO Nederland, Frugi Venta, FNV, CNV Vakmensen, and two independent board members. The financing of the foundation and the first phase of the hallmark has been made possible thanks to subsidies by Colland, the Dutch Provinces of Limburg and Gelderland (by way of Betuwse Bloem), the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, the LIB, and the Rabobank. Trade & Industry are now taking over the financing.
The foundation is advised by an advisory council. The Dutch government has responded positively to the initiative and is calling on all parts of the chain to only produce, trade and sell products that are guaranteed fair.
